Responsibilities:

  • AIM triaging and resolution making closure statements in JIRA and AIMS when issues resolved.
  • Hold highest standard of quality when processing / pending / closing AIMS issues.
  • Basic log analysis of incoming issues.
  • Lead cross functional meetings with other organizations for AIM resolution.
  • Support R202 / PVP / FCPA audits.
  • Validate feature functionality with new software release to close out pended AIMS.
  • SYNC & Phoenix software update support at Voice of Customer (VoCF) in addition to Executive / Customer units on as needed basis.
  • Ensure Voice of Customer (VoCF) phones are up-to-date with device profiles to collect device logs related to Projection issues (CarPlay and Android Auto).
  • Frequent Voice of Customer (VoCF) visits to collect SYNC and CAN logs after reproduction of issues.
  • Communicate issues to Voice of Customer (VoCF) team that need special attention by providing details on issue, possible replication steps, how to spot and what data is needed.

Skills Required:
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross functional global teams.
  • Working knowledge of engineering tools including AIMS, JIRA, VSEM, and VSCS.
  • Lead vehicle level and Voice of Customer (VoCF) Fleet testing and software validation.
  • Experience extracting low level data from vehicles including CAN, SYNC / Phoenix logs.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with automotive networks such as Value-CAN, Vehicle Spy, DET and CANalyzer.
  • Experience with Software re-flash tools/processes.
  • Good project management and organization skills.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Periodic Travel required to different plants throughout North America to support Launches.
  • Experience with using automotive technologies such as Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and/or Voice recognition.

Experience Required:
  • 5 + years with Release Engineer experience or equivalent.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering Any of the following acceptable: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Software Development Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
