Job Title: Lab Technician I

Location: Maplewood, MN, 55144, United States (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Shift Timing: Regular 8am/5pm core hours – flexible

Interviews: Teams or onsite based on candidates’ availability

PPE: Safety Glasses, Lab/oven gloves will be provided

Possible Exposure to Irritants/Sensitizers: Epoxies and Acrylates

Job Description:

Minimum education requirements: 2 yr college or vo-tech

Top 3* required skills, soft / preferred skills: Communicative, attention to detail, curiosity, willingness to learn

Detailed Job Description: Development support and testing of abrasive products. Measuring performance of Company standard products and new experimental materials for development and application engineering team. Executing new and standard Company internal tests. Position includes training on relevant test methods and use of instrumentation. Expectations to report data accurately with desired details.

Basic Qualifications: Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office software.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or other related STEM field. Minitab, JMP or other data entry software.

Experience in a laboratory or analytical lab setting.

Soft Skills: Accurate communication of issues observed, highlighting unusual outcomes.

Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. Worker performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results. Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required. Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required. Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
