Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is looking for a proven Accounts Payable professional to join their Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all accounts payable related functions and possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and high level problem solving skills.

Core Responsibilities of the AP Specialist:
- Processing of vendor bills and purchase orders daily; Review, code and process all invoices
- The AP Specialist will research delinquent accounts
- Vendor communication regularly to resolve any billing issues, past due or incorrect payment amounts
- Ensure timely payments to vendors by processing and posting vendor payments and refunds
- The AP Specialist will review vendor contracts for accuracy and completeness
- Work with the Finance team to develop strategies to maximize efficiencies

Qualifications of the AP Specialist:
- 1+ years of experience of proven Accounts Payable responsibilities
- High level computer skills including experience working in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- The AP Specialist must have strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
