Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the nutritional needs of patients and develop individualized nutrition care plans
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education programs for hospital staff and the community
  • Collaborate with the nutrition care team to provide comprehensive care
  • Coordinate activities with the needs of the department's management team
  • Share on-call responsibilities on a rotating weekly basis during non-scheduled working hours

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Advanced Practitioner Certification in Clinical Nutrition (AP-CDR) or equivalent
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or equivalent
  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or equivalent
  • Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM) or equivalent
  • Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI) or equivalent
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or equivalent
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent

Work Environment:

The Clinical Dietitian Specialist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
