Manufacturing Engineer

Judge Direct Placement is working with our client, a leading machine manufacturing company dedicated to innovation and excellence in manufacturing. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the team and contribute to their ongoing success.


Job Description:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing capital projects and working hands-on on the plant floor to drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Lead and manage capital projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience working on the plant floor, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
