We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Safety Lead to join our dynamic team. This position is integral to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. The Safety Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and health regulations. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety within the organization, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about occupational health and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Coordinate and deliver safety training programs to educate employees about safety procedures, laws, and practices.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes, recommend corrective action, and prevent recurrence.
5. Ensure compliance with all OSHA and other applicable safety and health regulations.
6. Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and reports.
8. Stay informed about the latest developments in occupational safety and health.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
4. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
5. Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and training.
6. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
10. Ability to handle physical requirements of the job, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
