Network Engineer II

LHH is seeking a Network Engineer II for our client's team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our client's current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance. You will also provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using your strong technical skills in Linux and Windows environments and IP networking.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain, implement, and troubleshoot networks
  • Design and support our network systems, architecture, and infrastructure
  • Configure and operate routers and switches
  • Monitor network performance and make recommendations based on performance analysis


Qualifications:


  • Required: 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense
  • Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center
  • Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
  • Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Exterior Gateway Routing Protocol and Border Gateway Protocol (EGP/ BGP) – Exterior gateway protocol (good troubleshooting experience on this)
  • Required: 3+ years of experience setting up connections with service providers using BGP
  • Required: 3+ years of experience routing and switching (ideally using cisco catalyst, cisco nexus 9k and 3k, ASR + ISR Routers)
  • Required: Willingness to Travel around Southern California to Data Centers 10% of the time
  • Required: 2+ years of experience with Cisco Identity Service Engineer (ISE)
  • Required: 2+ years of experience with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA)
