Position Overview

The Director of Sales is a dynamic, Player Coach who is passionate about developing sales talent with a track record of consistently exceeding sales goals. You will be responsible for coaching and managing a team of sales reps as well as developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and evaluate the Sales team’s strengths and areas for improvement
  • Developing and implementing strategies playing to people's strengths when coaching reps
  • Create an environment where every single sales reps feel supported and challenged
  • Be a leader who motivates the sales team to kick their sales game up a couple of notches
  • Evaluating individual rep’s performance and holding individual reps and the whole sales team accountable for meeting and exceeding sales goals and achieving KPIs
  • Identify new opportunities, develop and execute plans enabling the team to close new business
  • Identify areas of opportunity where the sales team can upsell and cross-sell with existing customers
  • Build relationships with your colleagues as well as customers
  • Collaborate with the executive and senior management teams to discuss sales opportunities
  • Identify and onboard new customers while fostering and strengthening relationships with current customers

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 15+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and leading a sales team consistently meeting or exceeding quotas, KPIs, and sales goals
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business, Business Administration, or Marketing
  • Excellent creative problem-solving, critical thinking, oral, and written communication skills
  • Experience as a Player Coach, who is a master encourager, motivator, and coach
  • Experience successfully developing and implementing plans to increase revenue
  • Experience using CRMs and other industry-standard sales tools
