Title: Training Manager

Location: Quantico, VA (3 days onsite) (Sometimes during Training – will need to go in for an entire week)

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance needed to start

Start: Immediate


Requires support to request, receive, audit, correct, integrate, and report criminal history records from DAF law enforcement and judge advocate professionals, medical and mental health personnel, commanders, and personnel specialists from across the DAF, to provide customer service and technical expertise to indexing specialists worldwide, and to develop and provide training on indexing procedures.


Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing and delivering training for adult learners.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience either as a sworn law enforcement officer or other similar criminal justice experience.
  • Knowledge of common criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Must have an active clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a law enforcement records check.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Development of formal/informal training regarding criminal and administrative indexing for the DAF.
  • Develop DAF-CJIC specific training programs, presentations, and artifacts (training guides, lesson plans, training aids, knowledge checks, etc.) for newly hired and current personnel to ensure consistent and repeatable process to ensure DAF-CJIC teams are operating at the required SME level.
  • Digest, assess, and develop training programs incorporating law, policy, and procedures from all functional components (law enforcement and legal) regarding criminal and administrative indexing for guided and self-paced training opportunities and requirements for all levels within functional lines integral to reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and develop training for other DAF agencies responsible for notifications to DAF-CJIC facilitating criminal and administrative indexing actions.
  • Schedule/conduct ad hoc and recurring indexing training with all pertinent DAF entities.
  • Develop, review, and conduct virtual and in-person training to Indexing Compliance Managers across the DAF regarding indexing policy, procedures, and processes.
