Role Description:

Petrus & Associates LLC is seeking a full-time Land Development Project Manager specializing in Civil Design. This hybrid role will be based in Cedar Park, TX, with the option for remote work when feasible. The Land Development Project Manager will be tasked with overseeing a variety of land development projects, with a focus on site development, permitting, and planning. Key responsibilities include collaborating with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure project success, managing budgets and financial aspects, and upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee land development projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and review site plans, ensuring compliance with zoning regulations, stormwater management requirements, and other relevant ordinances.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and site evaluations to identify project constraints and opportunities.
  • Manage project budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Conduct financial management activities, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead project meetings, effectively communicating project progress, milestones, and deliverables to Clients.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to overcome challenges and optimize project outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes relevant to land development and Civil Engineering.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • TX Professional Engineering License required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in land development and site planning.
  • Proficiency in creating and reviewing site plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of stormwater management regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, Subconsultants, & team members.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while providing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-state engineering license and/or certification in land development preferable.
