An EPC P6 Project Scheduler is a critical role in the management of large-scale construction projects. This professional is responsible for developing, managing, and updating the project schedule, which outlines all the tasks, timelines, and resources required to complete a project from start to finish. Here are key aspects of the role:
**Responsibilities**:
**Schedule Development and Management**: Create detailed project schedules that include all phases of project execution, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.

**Integration and Coordination**: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement specialists to align the project schedule with available resources, technical requirements, and contractual obligations. Ensure all interdependencies are identified and managed effectively.

**Monitoring and Reporting**: Regularly track project progress against the schedule, identifying any deviations or potential delays. Provide timely updates and reports to project stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.

**Risk Management**: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays. Work with the project team to assess impacts of design changes, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen challenges.

**Compliance and Standards**: Ensure the scheduling and planning processes comply with industry standards and best practices, as well as contractual requirements. Maintain documentation and records to support project audits.

**Stakeholder Engagement**: Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with project teams and stakeholders. Clearly communicate scheduling challenges and negotiate solutions to critical path issues.
- **Technical Proficiency**: P6 experience is a must.
- **Experience**: Several years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the EPC industry or similar sectors.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
