About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Admin to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Technical support, with a strong background in working within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This role involves providing technical support to users with end user computing, hardware and software, maintaining and supporting AWS servers, and managing IT helpdesk functions.
**Local Candidates Only - The selected candidate will come to the office full-time during first three months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Manage and maintain AWS servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Handle IT helpdesk functions, including responding to user requests and resolving IT-related issues.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server issues in the AWS environment.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and programs for AWS management using languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT and data security.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, handling technical issues related to hardware, software, and applications.
  • Proven experience working in an AWS environment where servers are hosted.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services, including:
    • EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
    • S3 (Simple Storage Service)
    • RDS (Relational Database Service)
    • KMS (Key Management Service)
    • CloudFormation
    • CloudWatch
    • Scripting and programming for AWS (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
    • AWS Support services
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with IT helpdesk functions and user support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with network configuration and security.
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices.
