Earthpack designs & distributes shopping bags and boxes as well as provides services such as inventory management & distribution and custom packaging.

 

Earthpack is seeking a full-time Assistant Distribution Manager with 2-3 years’ experience, that will help in the planning and coordination of all warehouse duties (ie: shipping, receiving, storage, order processing, and deliveries, etc) and supervision and training of warehouse employees.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


$19-$23/hr, DOE 


Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

·        Assists with the planning, organizing, and supervision of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, shipping, and delivery of product.

·        Sort, organize and store inventory in proper locations throughout 3 warehouses.

·        Ability to assist in unloading and loading shipping containers.

·        Provides shipping and receiving directions to vendors and trucking companies.

·        Reports crew performance problems to the Warehouse Manager.

·        Brings workload and scheduling problems to the attention of the Warehouse Manager.

·        Directs warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.

·        Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives; establishes schedules and methods for warehouse operations.

·        Investigates and resolves complaints regarding delivery discrepancies and delay issues as directed.

·        Participates in warehouse inventories.

·        Guides, instructs, monitors, and corrects the work of warehouse crews.

·        Works closely with manager in the development and modification of specialized warehousing policies and procedures.

·        Trains warehouse staff in the use of shipping software applications, (including: UPS Worldship/FedEx, DHL & DHX)

·        Performs related duties as assigned.

·        Help Inspect and maintain equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.

·        Assist with prepping of weekly delivery schedules. Assistant Warehouse Manager may sometimes have to do deliveries if Warehouse team is out

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Proven experience as an Assistant Warehouse Manager

·        Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

·        Leadership skills and ability manage staff.

·        Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a task completion orientation

·        Excellent knowledge of international shipping (ie: BOL's and Customs)

·        Forklift Certified

 

Licenses/Certificates:

 

Possession of a valid California driver's license required.
