Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring operational excellence. The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, quality control, compliance, and logistics. This individual thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces change, and is committed to driving continuous improvements daily. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex operational processes, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Quality Control:
- Develop, implement, and manage operational workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure all products meet company standards, including the process, documentation and revisions for supplier and vendor qualification, product specifications, sampling and reserve samples, and the return process.
Quality Manual & SOPs:
- Maintain and update the company’s Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all team members are trained on and comply with SOPs.
- Lead recurring quality meetings with team as needed.
In-House Fulfillment:
- Manage in-house fulfillment operations to meet customer demands.
- Streamline fulfillment processes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Foster a customer-centric approach to exceed expectations.
- Oversee order processing, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment while addressing issues related to shipping, expiry dates, and batch codes.
Audits - 3rd Party and Internal Annual:
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to address audit findings.
Production Product Testing:
- Oversee production product testing to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Review test results, documentation and visual examinations to ensure all specifications are met.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to address issues promptly.
Product Quality Control:
- Identify, investigate, and resolve product quality issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Track, manage, and resolve customer complaints and adverse events effectively.
- Proactively implement solutions to mitigate quality risks, including maintenance of detailed records and reports when specifications are not met or there is a deviation or recall/withdrawal.
Bundle x Joy Warehouse Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and safely.
- Plan, manage, and execute quarterly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Management of receiving records for products, packaging and labels to ensure specifications are met and approved prior to shipment.
Safety & Compliance, Fixtures, Equipment:
- Develop and enforce safety and compliance protocols.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all fixtures and equipment.
- Drive continuous improvements to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while expanding warehouse capabilities.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or quality management, preferably in the pet or consumer goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
- Physical ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting, and walking throughout shifts.
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (with provided training and safety protocols).
- Work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as agreed upon with direct manager.
