The music division of a globally renound entertainment brand is seeking a Community / Social Media Specialist to join their team for a long-term contract opportunity in Burbank, CA. The role is full time hours and operates on a hybrid schedule onsite with work-from-home Fridays.


  • Rate range: $30-36 / hour DOE


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the marketing team and stakeholders to devise innovative strategies and brand-building initiatives for artists and projects within the entertainment brand's music division.
  • Manage day-to-day social media strategy for the music division, including partnerships with major platforms and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in executing tactical social media campaigns, handling calendars, copywriting, and obtaining necessary approvals from Brand, XLOB, and Legal.
  • Maintain frequent communication with social media partners such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others, optimizing these relationships.
  • Attend XLOB meetings and internal weekly sessions to discuss support, ideas, and key moments for company engagement on relevant social media platforms.
  • Interface regularly with the Asset and Advertising team to brainstorm and create assets, understanding various asset types.
  • Analyze social media data and generate reports on artist and project performance, providing feedback to other departments and teams.
  • Support the efforts of the Social Media Manager and manage social creator/influencer strategies and campaign development.
  • Oversee content capture and short-form editing as necessary, coordinating with creators for content creation.
  • Stay updated with social media updates, tools, and trends to apply them effectively to current priorities within the catalog, soundtracks, and artist releases.
  • Demonstrate a high level of digital proficiency and knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and others.


Required Qualifications:


  • Possess 2-3 years of experience in digital/social marketing, preferably within the music or entertainment industries, with familiarity with Digital Streaming Partners (DSPs).
  • Display enthusiasm for music and the music industry, along with a willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing landscape.
  • Show familiarity and enthusiasm for the entertainment brand.
  • Exhibit insatiable curiosity, proven success in building and maintaining relationships, excellent organizational and critical thinking skills, and exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Be extremely detail-oriented, capable of multitasking in high-pressure environments, and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, Teams, and Slack.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
