  • Past supervisory experience – will have one generalist direct report
  • SHRM-CP/PHR required
  • Solid performance management experience
  • HR Manager or HR business partner experience


Preferred:

  • Event planning strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple locations from an HR perspective


Job Description:

An exciting opportunity awaits at a dynamic company for an experienced and energetic Director of Human Resources. This pivotal role will oversee all corporate culture and human resources functions, including performance management, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, events, and more.


The three main areas of focus for this hire will be

  1. Oversee and Lead all aspects of People and Culture (Performance Management, Events, Benefits)
  2. Manage Company Payroll, and HR Budget
  3. Oversee the HR Generalist who is responsible for recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, payroll and benefits administration.


Responsibilities:

People and Culture Leadership: Drive a high-performance culture by managing performance management, events, benefits, and employee relations.

Payroll and Budget Management: Oversee company payroll, manage the HR budget, and handle compensation and incentive plans.

Team Oversight: Supervise the HR Generalist responsible for recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.

Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce policies in talent management, leadership development, compensation, and benefits.

Event Planning: Organize company meetings and social events.

Performance Management: Lead quarterly performance reviews and coach managers and associates on performance and growth opportunities.

Compensation and Job Structure: Provide recommendations on compensation issues, new positions, job descriptions, salary adjustments, and promotions.

HR Mentorship: Guide the Manager of People and Culture on HR processes, including onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, recruiting, and expense reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management/Business or relevant experience

• 8+ years as a HR Manager/ HR Business Partner

• Proven experience managing payroll

  • • 1+ years supervising HR staff member or members
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills, including budget creation.

• SHRM-CP/PHR required

• Experience operating across multiple locations and working in entrepreneurial environment preferred

• Ability to identify hot issues and quickly point them out with candor and honesty

• Clear and professional written and oral communication skills
