Vapor Point is an environmental service provider specializing in liquid scrubber technology and Thermal Vapor Control for the removal of hazardous air pollutants such as VOCs and H2S. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to:


The Operations Manager, is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day functions surrounding the successful execution of all facets that meet company objectives for customer services excellence. Is responsible for the oversight of daily branch operations. Furthermore, the company operations manager is responsible organizing and allocating all resource requirements for daily routine work, as well as project specific work.


It is the operations manager’s responsibility to ensure the efficient execution of company resources (equipment & personnel), and to redevelop processes and systems to ensure that Vapor Point is the company of choice to our customers due to our execution of best practices.


Expectations & Goals Include:

  • Development and Execution of a Safety Culture
  • Ensures that all required training has been completed
  • Ensures that company practices are consistent with Vapor Point’s Safety Statement
  • Development / Define an incentive program for operations personnel based on safety performance
  • Responsible for ensuring company goals of 0 OSHA Recordable is maintained
  • Responsible for all aspects of customer mandated 3rd party services such as ISNETWORLD, DISA, etc.
  • Development of Behavioral Based Safety Program
  • Execution of Daily Operations
  • Fully understands customer expectations and executes to achieve minimal standards
  • Ensures compliance with company Standards of Operations and Standards of Excellence (SOPs & SOEs)
  • Ensures timely execution of company administrative policies including billing, A/P, DOT, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for the development of a company quality assurance/quality control program that ensures equipment integrity, and company expectations for equipment use
  • Responsible for Risk Control and Management including the development of SOPs and training to ensure mitigation of such risks.
  • Responsible for Asset (Rental Equipment, Personnel, Rolling Stock) Optimization and Utilization
  • Responsible for Field Training Initiative Development and Execution
  • Meeting Monthly/Annual KPI Goals
  • Planning/Directing/Executing of Field and Shop operations and administrative management
  • Administrative Management to include but not limited to:
  • Review and approval of field tickets and time sheets, Purchase Order system, QMS Inspections, Safety & DOT documents.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
  • Review Management Reports to include but not limited to: Employee Utilization, Bi-annual Employee Evaluations, Monthly P&L’s
  • Training, mentoring and coaching of field personnel
  • Job, shop, inventory management and audit
  • Safety management and leadership including but not limited to:
  • JSA’s
  • DOT
  • Conformance to SOPs
  • Hazard Identification
  • Leading by example
  • Safety initiatives
  • Work with safety department and any on site safety representatives to ensure safety of personnel, equipment and stakeholders
  • Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives and procedures
  • High level of communication skills to work with management and all staff members
  • Management of Riger and other software for the branch

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant operations experience.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft office, operations software and ERP software
  • Self-starter, results oriented, problem solver, confidential.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
