The Difference You’ll Make

Delphia is searching for a Senior Research Associate, Biology to join the team This scientist will play a critical role in design and execution of cell-based studies to advance our activation lethality medicines from target validation through drug discovery to the clinic. They will carry out a range of studies spanning a variety of molecular and cellular techniques. As an integral member of project teams, they will share plans, results and conclusions with a fast-moving interdisciplinary scientific team & contribute to a mission-driven culture dedicated to advancing important new medicines to patients.


What You’ll Do:

  • Design and execute cell-based studies to support identification & validation of novel targets as well as the advancement of drug discovery projects from hit discovery through IND.
  • Employ a wide variety of laboratory techniques including mammalian cell culture, Western blotting, CRISPR, RNAi, phenotypic assays, flow cytometry, etc
  • Independently design and execute cell-based experiments & share results in a variety of settings
  • Analyze experimental results, brainstorm and troubleshoot findings thoughtfully and proactively
  • Join a fast-paced culture where self-motivation, learning agility, rigor & attention to detail are complemented with highly cohesive and collaborative teamwork and communication
  • Challenge yourself and the organization to continually innovate in laboratory practices and techniques
  • May manage CRO biologists to efficient and high-quality delivery of key experimental results for drug discovery


What you bring:

  • Background in cancer biology; experience and demonstrated success using cell biology techniques to advance oncology projects
  • Strong technical skills in mammalian cell culture are required; proficiency with core laboratory techniques such as Western blotting, CRISPR, RNAi, phenotypic assays are also essential
  • Excellent organizational, communication, multi-tasking & teaming skills
  • Outstanding problem-solver; innovative, creative, and versatile in approach to problems and their solutions
  • Bold-but-grounded: ambitious and innovative in pursuit of emerging science for new medicines, yet capable to ground innovation with practical experience
  • BA/MA in Biology or related discipline, with 3-5+ years of industrial experience, or equivalent
