Director of Land Acquisition

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Director of Land Acquisition to lead our land acquisition efforts in the Orlando MSA. The Director of Land Acquisition will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring land opportunities that align with our company's growth objectives and market strategy. This role requires a proven track record of success in land acquisition, and the ability to cultivate relationships with landowners, brokers, and other key stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive land acquisition strategy to support company growth objectives and market expansion.
  • Lead a team of land acquisition professionals in identifying and evaluating land opportunities, conducting market research, and negotiating land purchase agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, and other key stakeholders to source and secure land opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development, Finance, Legal, and Construction to evaluate land feasibility and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and other factors that may impact land acquisition efforts, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Manage land acquisition budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of [3] years of experience in land acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, market analysis, and zoning regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring land for residential or commercial development projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex situations and make data-driven decisions.
