Performs end-to-end functional and non-functional testing within an Agile environment. Crafts and maintains testing frameworks. Develops and maintains automated suites of tests to assess product quality and release readiness of software applications. Creates efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value. Assures projects meet quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, and executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality on complex projects. Provides environment support for integrated end-to-end test environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs code reviews and formal reviews of application designs, business, and functional requirements.
• Reviews reports on software problems.
• Defines and implements quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.
• Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test execution.
• Assists in development of in-house test tools.
• Executes manual and/or automated test scripts for most complex projects.
• Coordinates test schedules, work assignments, and resource plans.
• Ensures progress of all test activities against plan.
• Ensures execution of project regression test tasks.
• Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance.
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team members.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
• Provides technical leadership on analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution, and planning.
• Works directly with the user community for project definition.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.
• Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.
• Identifies and resolves test issues.
• Defines and coordinates regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects.
• Perform risk analysis at project management level.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing software engineering testing in an Information Technology and financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing software engineering testing in an Information Technology and financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) developing testing applications to validate data platforms that support securities, holdings, and reference data business processes using J2EE technologies -- Spring framework, Maven, SQL Developer, GIT, Informatica, and Data warehouses -- according to Agile software development methodologies.
• DE developing automated test scripts, plans, and cases for testing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), using Java, Postman, Rest Assured, and SQL; writing UI automated tests using Cypress; creating hybrid automation frameworks using Cucumber and Behavior Driven Development (BDD); writing automated Data comparison using Python; creating performance test scripts in JMETER and Grafana; performing Chaos testing using Gremlin, and integrating automated test cases with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins.
• DE providing technical guidance for the planning, designing, and executing of testing across critical business services and systems; performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression, performance, chaos, and database testing and documenting in JIRA/XRAY.
• DE providing technical support for code deployment and test environment management in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managed Cloud Service Environment, using Lambda, Cloud Watch, DataDog, Hive, Autosys, and Apache Spark.
