The IT System Technician (ITST) is the on-site team member responsible for maintaining Reily’s datacenter environment in an industrial manufacturing environment based in Knoxville, TN. The ITST provides support to end users on a broad range of technical issues. The ITST identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems; responds to telephone calls, Helpdesk tickets, and personnel requests for technical support. The ITST manages asset inventory/disposal and technical documentation, and tracks and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, efficient, courteous and responsive support for all hardware, software and network related issues
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and e-mails regarding desktop, server and network problems
  • Monitor and maintain Reily Foods’ Knoxville datacenter
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
  • Configure, install, maintain, diagnose, repair, and upgrade PCs, servers, and network equipment to insure optimal performance
  • Perform system backups and recovery
  • Maintain asset inventory of all computing equipment
  • Monitor and analyze network and server performance
  • Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Assist Director with on-site datacenter tasks
  • Move equipment as needed (equipment includes, but is not limited to PC’s, monitors, printers and projectors)
  • After-hours on-call responsibilities
  • All other duties as assigned by the Sr. System Administrator


Qualifications

  • A+ and/or Network+ Certifications or above preferred
  • 3 years of Windows Server 2012 R2 or above administration experience
  • 1 year working in VMware ESX and vCenter virtual environments preferred
  • 3 years of Windows 10 or above administration experience
  • Experience with PDQDeploy, Helpdesk ticketing software, and other management, auditing, and deployment tools a plus
  • Experience with remote management tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced support environment; experience in an industrial setting a plus
  • Ability to work independently as the sole IT team member at this facility
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong oral and written communications
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail
