An Assistant Project Manager supports the coordination and oversight of various projects, working closely with the Project Manager. Ideal candidates should possess a background in construction and proficiency with management software. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that projects progress smoothly from inception to completion by assisting with planning, execution, and coordination tasks.

This role involves a blend of administrative and project-specific duties. Assistant Project Managers are responsible for organizing and maintaining project documentation, managing updates in digital databases, and helping oversee the project's budget. Additionally, they handle tasks such as scheduling meetings, arranging site visits, and setting up communications. They are also integral in liaising with team members, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with project planning and execution to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Handling administrative tasks, including preparing estimates and invoices and tracking project progress using management software.
  • Providing regular updates to the Project Manager on the project’s status throughout its stages.
  • Conducting research and gathering information relevant to the project.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the project’s schedule, budget, and expenditures.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience required
