Senior Software Engineer

The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test who is passionate about cutting edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns. You will be joining a squad of engineers focused on Financial Planning. You will be responsible for performing all Software Development Lifecycle activities such as designing, developing, testing and deployment with a primary focus on testing automation, framework, and traceability. You will have hands on experience working on tech stack which includes Javascript, Typescript, Angular, Appium, SeeTest, Cypress, GraphQL and similar. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish relationships across teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related)

• 4+ years of development full-stack development experience with, designing, developing and maintaining multi-tier internet facing web applications using Angular, Node, Nest, and proper test automation frameworks in a fast-paced Scrum environment

• 2+ years of Responsive & Progressive Modern Web application development.

• Make significant contributions to our technology platform

• Design patterns, UML

• Test Driven Development, Jest.

• 2+ years of experience with iOS and Android application development and testing.

• Application build, deploy using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, etc.

• Understanding of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or azure) will be a plus

• Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software solutions in an Agile environment

• Passionate about crafting the best end-to-end customer experience

• Certifications in AWS or similar cloud platforms are a plus

• Creative, Innovative and Problem-Solving skills are a plus

• Excellent written and oral communication skills needed for agile team

The Team

The Engineering Excellence chapter resides in the Fidelity Wealth business unit of Fidelity Investments. The EE chapter’s support spans across all of PI and provides domain specialists to squads who develop products with the highest customer quality, security, stability, and experience. The chapter consists of over 245 multi-stacked engineers with a passion around customer experience and with the engineering tool set to seek challenges including: Automated testing, performance testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI / CD implementation, security testing and application development.
