Primary Responsibilities:

  • Estimate, sell, and help manage projects with a complete and comprehensive understanding of requirements and specifications; mainly, but not limited to, new construction and design build projects.
  • Understanding of equipment equipment capabilities and ancillary materials required for proper project completion. Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Estimating and proposal management skills, experienced with pricing, costing, and quoting, proficient computer skills specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software.
  • Prepare bill of materials and work with sales department to secure vendor pricing.
  • Computes costs and manually enter figures into SalesForce bid proposal software.
  • Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Formulate customer job quotes, expedite customer orders, receive, and submit orders via telephone, email, and quoting software. Prepare submittals for customers in a timely manner.
  • Elevate professional growth and development through continued education through programs in alignment with the industry.
  • Attend vendor sponsored product and technical training classes when appropriate and approved by the Segment Business


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills must be capable of multitasking and have the ability to prioritize. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, manage tight deadlines, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and provides accuracy and timeliness.
  • Candidates that have architectural, engineering or construction background is desirable but not required.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective Team Player, ability to lead, demonstrates confidentiality, and takes initiative.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or five years of related experience.
  • Sales Estimating experience a must.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL).
