Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Materials Management is responsible for overseeing all material fulfillment activities, developing relevant policies, managing inventory control, and coordinating with Supply Chain Operations. This role ensures materials and services are obtained and delivered on schedule and at the lowest total cost.



Essential Functions

  • Safety Management System (SMS): Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of SMS, ensuring effectiveness and promoting safety.
  • Material Services Leadership: Lead all Material Services activities for assigned Airbus fleets and MRO service providers.
  • Cost Management: Maintain visibility of total Material Services costs, identify cost savings opportunities, and coordinate improvement initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and implement Key Performance Metrics to document performance and measure improvement.
  • Training and Development: Establish performance objectives and training plans for Material Services staff.
  • Vendor Management: Manage MRO Vendor evaluation and selection, and administer vendor invoice approval processes.
  • Inventory Control: Implement inventory control processes and investigate results to recommend corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership: Train, develop, and manage staff to ensure consistent Supply Chain policies and procedures are developed and deployed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor???s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Aerospace Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Aviation supply chain experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of multi-functional team leadership experience and proven cross-department project management experience.
  • MRO contract development and administration experience preferred.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
