You will play a key role in creating and refining the center’s climate by supporting teachers in the development of a hands-on, emergent curriculum designed for the children in your care and will help us to build an environment where the children, families and staff thrive. As the Center Director, you will:

Maintain highest standards by being visible and involved daily in the operations and education of the center’s classrooms

Provide strong leadership to the center staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the center.   Follow operating procedures to provide the best educational, caring, and safe environment for children and families in the industry.

Curriculum Development:

Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities.

Ensure that the curriculum aligns with state early learning standards and promotes the holistic development of each child through intentional teaching in the classrooms.

Child Care Quality Assurance:

Maintain high standards of quality care and education for all children enrolled in the center.

Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and development.

Implement strategies for continuous improvement based on feedback and evaluation.

Parent and Community Engagement:

Foster positive relationships with parents and families, including regular communication and involvement opportunities. Ensure parent satisfaction by prioritizing your accessibility.

Organize and facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and events to support family engagement and education.

Collaborate with community organizations and resources to enhance the center's programs and services.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing early learning and child care centers.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed for inspections, licensing renewals, and other compliance matters.

Financial Management:

Effectively market the center within the community.

Manage the center's budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation to support the financial sustainability of the center.

Support the Office Manager to ensure accurate billing and collection of fees from parents or funding sources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an early learning or child care setting.  (Experience in a leadership role, a plus)

Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum planning, and instructional best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and community partners.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, including staff supervision, team building, and conflict resolution.

Knowledge of state and local regulations governing child care centers in Pennsylvania.

Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Willingness to obtain a PA Director’s Credential (Paid for by the Center).

Benefits:
