Airswift is partnered with one of the biggest Refineries in the state of Alabama to find their new Sr. Network Engineer The Sr. Network Engineer biggest responsibility is to oversee all network infrastructure management and ensure its proper functioning and smooth operations.


Main responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls, along with HP/Aruba switches, Wi-Fi access points, and SilverPeak SD-WAN infrastructure, ensuring seamless network operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new network products and technologies, such as SilverPeak SD-WAN, to enhance network efficiency and security.
  • Proactively monitor all LAN/WAN (wired and wireless) traffic across all sites for bandwidth utilization, cybersecurity threats, and overall network efficiency
  • Proactively troubleshoot and remediate any network-related issues (OSI layer 1-7)


Essential skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (MIS) and a 8+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with:

  • Cisco IOS (routers and switches).
  • HP/Aruba switches and Wi-Fi access points.
  • SilverPeak SD-WAN.
  • Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Aruba ClearPass.
  • TCP/IP, IP Routing principles and practices.
  • Network security, including NIST and zero-trust security frameworks.
  • Orion network monitoring and SolarWinds toolsets.
  • Certificate administration.
  • Ethernet cabling.
  • DNS, DHCP, and/or WINS.
  • Technologies such as: Microsoft Entra, Intune, Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Citrix, VMWare, Avaya IP Office, Rapid 7, and DUO is a plus. Highly skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems to identify solutions in a timely manner.
