Location:

The role is based in Rockdale, TX, and is not a remote position.

What you will be responsible for:

• Unpacking: Receive incoming shipments and carefully unpack packages, verifying contents against packing slips or purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
• Inventory Management: Maintain organized storage areas for incoming and outgoing inventory. Update inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs as needed.
• Packing: Properly pack items for shipment according to company guidelines, ensuring products are secure and protected from damage during transit.
• Shipping: Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and other necessary paperwork for outgoing shipments. Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages during the packing process. Report any issues to supervisors and take corrective action as necessary.
• Workspace Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including shelving units, workstations, and packing areas. Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.

How you will stand out:

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy packages over 22KG, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in unpacking, managing, packing, and labeling packages to ensure accuracy in inventory management and shipping.
• Organizational Skills: Capability to maintain an organized workspace, manage inventory efficiently, and locate packages quickly when needed.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and shipping carriers to coordinate tasks and address any issues that may arise.
• Basic Math Skills: Understanding of basic math concepts for counting, sorting, and verifying quantities of packages.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Time Management: Efficiency in managing tasks within deadlines to ensure timely processing and shipping of packages.
• Computer Literacy: Familiarity with warehouse management software and basic computer skills for data entry, printing labels, and generating shipping documents.
• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to accomplish tasks and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse operation.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to package handling, inventory discrepancies, and shipping logistics.
• Reliability: Consistency in attendance and performance to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse processes.
• Forklift Certification may be preferred: Certification to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment may be preferred.
