Medical Sales Professional - Veterinary Surgical Devices


Hybrid Inside/Outside Sales Role


Job Description:

Are you an experienced professional with a background in veterinary surgery, medical device sales, or veterinary care? Sagamore is expanding and seeking a results-driven sales representative with 3 to 5 years of experience in veterinary tech, veterinary surgery, or medical device sales, to join our Johnson & Johnson Animal Health team.

In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact on animal health outcomes by collaborating with Veterinary Surgeons to promote a comprehensive portfolio of surgical products. You’ll be at the forefront of marketing advanced wound closure, energy, and orthopedic trauma solutions, helping to grow our partner’s footprint in the rapidly expanding veterinary healthcare industry.


Key Responsibilities:

The hybrid Inside/Outside Sales Representative will collaborate closely with the field sales team to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Your key duties include:

  • Sales Engagement:
  • Educate veterinary professionals (General Practice and Specialty Surgery facilities) on our product portfolio.
  • Partner with a field sales representative to target both existing and non-user accounts, converting opportunities into evaluations and sales.
  • Account Management:
  • Provide tailored support, including product training, post-sales account management, and customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Assist customers with product repairs, returns, and financial inquiries.
  • Lead Generation:
  • Prospect and profile accounts to build and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Follow up on inbound leads from promotions and events, driving evaluations and sales.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Gather and communicate competitive insights and trends in veterinary surgical practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and activities in CRM systems.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Background in Veterinary or Medical Sales:
  • Experience in veterinary sales, veterinary tech roles, or veterinary surgical settings is strongly preferred.
  • Alternatively, 3–5 years of sales experience in medical devices or related fields.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • Skills:
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with an outgoing and engaging phone presence.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple sales opportunities.
  • Proven effectiveness in developing and closing sales opportunities.
  • Business acumen and adaptability to market conditions.
