Summary
The Histology Technician-Nights will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist. This position will work the night shift and will be responsible for ensuring that all specimens are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Hours:  Sun- Thurs 6:30pm-3:00am

Job Responsibilities

Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist Embed and cut formalin fixed paraffin specimens Perform routine and special staining procedures Operate and maintain laboratory equipment Ensure that all specimens are processed accurately and in a timely manner Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
