Veterinary Oncology Technician

**This position is expected to work Monday-Thursday 7a-5p. Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the Hospital and Department. Training days/hours TBD.**
**This position will pay $22-$32 hourly DOE**
Summary : The Oncology Technician assists the Oncologist in delivering precise and efficient patient care. He/she ensures smooth patient flow and conducts various procedures, including radiographs, lab work, and chemotherapy administration. This role is expected to have significant and compassionate client communication: in-person, phone calls and electronically. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills. The technician is also responsible for thorough and accurate medical documentation in the hospital's PIMS and Whiteboard systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility :
Skill Requirements : Strong ability to multitask and anticipate needs. Excellent communication both written and verbal. Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
Minimum Qualifications :High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required. Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician or the ability to become registered upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications : At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Specialty Hospital. Experience running anesthesia.
Physical Requirements : This job is physically active and requires frequent bending. It also requires routine lifting and restraining of animals that exceed 50 pounds.
