Job Description
Cox Enterprises is currently looking for an ERGs and ID&E Senior Manager to join our team. The incumbent must be in one of the following markets - Atlanta, Georgia, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Virginia Beach, Virginia, San Diego, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, or Phoenix, Arizona. The Role: The ERGs and ID&E Senior Manager plays an instrumental role in the progress and success of the organization’s ID&E strategy. This role is responsible for the strategic management of Employee Resource Groups (“ERGs”), working closely with senior leaders and ERG employees to define and implement multi-year strategies aligned with organization priorities. Additionally, this position serves as a strategic partner to ID&E Business Partners on diversity councils and taskforce initiatives and activations. The ideal candidate is one who thrives working at the intersection of multiple stakeholders with the ability to influence and lead with a deep ID&E expertise. Responsibilities: ERG Strategy & ManagementOversee enterprise-wide ERG, strategically partnering with ERG leadership to define multi-year visions, strategies, and KPIs aligned with Center for Inclusion goals and organizational priorities.
Support definition and tracking of ERG KPIs, providing consultation on areas of opportunity and providing creative thought-partnership on solutions to mitigate risks.
Manage the ERG leadership lifecycle providing solutions to vet and track leader interest and engagement.
Leveraging central processes, resources, and tools from the CFI Enablement & Operations Team, partner with ERG leadership teams to embed new ways of working within all ERGs to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies, providing change management leadership to ensure adoption across ERG chapters.
Consult with ERG leadership to shape a vision and measures of success for ERG events, and provide end-to-end program management for all events to ensure impactful and relevant programs.
Partner with key stakeholders (CSR, L&D, CTA, Talent Management, and Public Affairs) to ensure ERG programs and initiatives are executed with support and amplify partners' strategies.
Design and deliver strategies to enhance leadership capabilities and provide professional development opportunities for ERG leaders and members.
Determine and maintain the cadence for engaging ERG Executive Sponsors to strengthen synergies and link ERG work to business initiatives.
Evaluate, allocate, and manage ERG budgets, measuring the ROI of various initiatives and programs.
Support Divisional Councils and TaskforcesProvide critical strategic program and planning support to ID&E Business Partners on Council (National ID&E Council and Executive Inclusion Council) and Departmental Taskforce goals and strategic priorities in partnership with ID&E business partners, from consultation to execution by providing strategic direction through ID&E expertise, project managing solution creation, determining activation strategy, implementing and measuring outcomes.
Serve as an extension of ERGs, Councils, and ID&E business partners when partnering with internal talent partners and stakeholders ensuring connectivity to the broader ID&E strategy with ERGs and Councils in mind.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.
3+ years of full-time ID&E experience.
Depth of understanding of core principles of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity including best practices and current trends to inform solutioning and consulting outputs of varying complexity.
Proven success consulting across various client groups and providing tangible solutions varying in complexity. In depth understanding of solutioning from consultation to execution.
Previous experience managing multiple organizational ERGs, including defining strategy and creating and delivering related quantifiable results.
Advanced stakeholder management capability, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, in a matrixed environment.
Strong ability to influence, especially without formal authority, guiding towards positive outcomes.
Demonstrates courage in challenging opinions and driving change.
Ability to act as a business advisor using best practices and strong consultation skills.
Operates with critical thinking and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, leveraging creative problem solving and solutioning.
Excellent program and project management and coordination skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
Acts with a strong sense of learning agility and a growth mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in an organization with multiple chapters of ERGs.
Experience working with employees geographically dispersed.
