Pay Rate: $26-$30/hr depending on experience 

Planet Interactive is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.

The Social Media Specialist is a member of the Lab Channels team within the clients US Commercial Digital Lab and will support delivery of social media projects across US Commercial brands. The Social Media Specialist supports Consumer and HCP brand team social initiatives including platform strategy, new channel launches, best practices, agency support and organic publishing capabilities. This role will be a working member of the Digital Lab, driving capability enablement to fulfill and execute on social media strategies as part of the omni-channel plan. The Social Media Specialist will provide support managing the enterprise platform and processes to execute organic and coordinate paid implementation with other channel specialists.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Support creation of playbooks and templates; defining brand-level implications of new social platforms, content formats and solutions and distribute updates to internal and external stakeholder.
  • Define product features and benefits for new platforms and existing social channel functionality and support the brand team as the social product expert.
  • Support brands migrating to Khoros, including training end users and providing publishing support of organic content.
  • Meet with brands and Digital Lab stakeholders regularly; provide feedback on organic strategies.
  • Updates to existing brand social pages (ex: new Facebook banners, bios, etc.)
  • Support new social media page builds/launches as requested (ex: new Snapchat page launches)
  • Serve as a social media subject matter expert within the clients Digital Lab. Plan, execute and optimize social media campaigns based on branded use cases and integrate social touchpoints into omni-channel experiences.
  • Provide reporting metrics through Khoros to brand teams on organic performance.
  • Oversee internal and agency access to platform backend (ex: Facebook Business Manager)
  • Champion social media compliance and partner with CX Planners and brands on channel authorization, monitoring and moderation and crisis preparation.
  • Enable new processes that create efficiency and agility and guide marketers and agencies in new ways of working – creation of playbooks and templates that support organic and paid content.
  • Be an end user advocate – understands mental models and what motivates actions of users in social and in digital touchpoints. Ability to accurately convey his or her vision through creative mediums.
  • Collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment with Brand Marketing, Creative/CRM/Digital agencies, Media, Market Research, Analytics, Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Sales Operations, and Medical/Regulatory/Legal integrated business partners.
  •  Partner closely with Medical/Regulatory/Legal/Privacy partners to educate, lead and help the client anticipate and balance organizational needs.
  • Troubleshoot roadblocks and identify creative and compliant solutions to facilitate forward motion of new initiatives.
  • Guide creative agencies to ensure the development of relevant, 1:1 creative and messaging, and Digital marketing best practices.
Social Media Specialist Qualifications:
  •  Requires a minimum of 2-5 years of responsibility in social media strategy.
  • Experience launching successful social media frameworks, procedures, and campaigns.
  • Understanding of social algorithms, audience targeting, ad formats and privacy considerations.
  • Knowledge and experience with platform management tools such as Khoros preferred.
  • Experience implementing social media best practices.
  • Knowledge of platform analytics tools and data signals that support brand goals.
  • Requires strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to be effective managing through a highly matrixed organization.
  • Skills required include business acumen, organizational assessment, creativity, interpersonal skills, and quantitative analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding communicator and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of technical and non-technical people.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter with passion for user experience, technology and digital transformation.
  • A strategic mindset that allows you to prioritize projects, launches, and features, and balance immediate requirements with a long-term vision.

Social Media Specialist Significant Work Activities:
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
