Summary Description 
Own and maintain expertise and processes for Reporting & Frameworks at RE Tech. Oversee training and development of RE Tech staff on associated services and products. Serve the strategic advisor internally and to clients on Reporting and Frameworks.

Essential Job Functions / Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Own and manage expertise and processes of all Reporting & Frameworks at RE Tech. Maintain RE Tech’s intelligence on the most common sustainability Reporting Frameworks, consistently scanning for and monitoring of emerging frameworks and their relevance in the marketplace, leading research, as needed. Stay abreast of updates to existing frameworks as well as new frameworks. Lead market analysis of frameworks utilized in the industry, providing support to account managers for peer-to-peer comparisons.Serve as a subject matter expert in, but not limited to: GRESB, PRI, GRI, IFRS (TCFD), and SFDR. Identify and develop employees in their expertise in these frameworks and others.Communicate and collaborate with all departments to drive alignment of frameworks that are relevant for all client deliverables.Development and maintain RE Tech’s approach to developing a client sustainability reporting and frameworks strategy, including guidance that map clients to select frameworks.Advise, direct, and/or review work produced under key service offerings that align to frameworks such as the Sustainability Gap Analysis, Investor Questionnaires, Reporting Framework Gap Analysis.Develop and maintain overview materials (decks, primers) so that client managers can speak at a high level on frameworks. Develop and maintain template materials for reporting needs, such as the reporting framework presentations, framework scoring analysis tools, and memos/reports.Develop and deliver appropriate training, exposure, and experiences for Reporting & Frameworks to all employees supporting reporting. Ensure that existing, new staff, and managers are trained as appropriate for their role supporting reporting efforts.Communicate all existing and new changes for sustainability reporting to the entire company and provide training as appropriate.Responsible for framework alignment within all deliverablesServe as the primary point of contact for RE Tech with reporting organizations/associations. Contribute to the annual business plan of applicable teams across the business ensure achievement of the team objectives and alignment with company strategies and priorities. Coordinate across the Shared Services Directors, as appropriate, with regards to alignment on services with sustainability reporting needs. This includes, but is not limited to: Identify and develop expertise and standardize processes on frameworks RE Tech supports.Become familiar with their service offerings, and how they map to reporting requirements, and advising on potential changes/enhancements of services to align with reporting requirements.Work with the Data & Analytics team, as needed, to advise and direct on needs and capabilities for data team reports to support Reporting & Frameworks and data assurance.Drive the integration framework requirements into RE Tech’s database.Coordinate with Marketing & Communications team on aligning ESG/CSR reports to select Frameworks. Responsible for framework alignment of all published deliverables. Coordinate with Climate Risk Solutions to align reporting framework changes and work with Account Managers to ensure excellence and client satisfaction for all Reporting and Framework deliveries. Ensure the successful completion of all reporting for clients, ensuring deliverables are factually accurate, and meets client expectations.Serve as a reporting expert on client calls and when answering specific client emails that require technical expertise on reporting.Work with the Director of Sustainability Services on capacity, staff planning, sequencing, and prioritization of client work within your team.Accountable for your team and those supporting reporting tasks to continuously drive reporting improvement, driving the efficiency changes including: processes, tools, software, practices, and replicable work that can be standardized to scale delivery.Properly set up and close out all client work under your management, with completion of After-Action Reviews, and address findings as appropriate, sharing with the Director of Sustainability Services. Develop and inform reporting and framework budgets for account managers to manage , advising on staffing allocations for Reporting services, with oversight and input from the Director of Sustainability Services. Inform and drive analytics for time allocations to support framework alignment to clients. Manage your team’s development, career progression, performance management, and engagement. Contribute to the development of other team members in Sustainability Programs, with regard to their responsibilities in Reporting and Frameworks. Implement formalized learning opportunities for your team’s development. Ensure execution and proper alignment of goals, professional development plans, and performance feedback for all team members, including indirect reports and contribute those supporting the Reporting and Frameworks tasks.Contribute to team talent assessment, utilizing the Talent Review Grid to have meaningful conversations with your direct and indirect reports. Maintain clear understanding of where all team members are in their career progression. Use information gleaned to make employment and development decisions, including succession planning.Manage, direct, and develop your direct, indirect reports and those supporting ESG reporting work. Evoke creative and innovative thinking while helping team members to develop their skills and align their career aspirations with business goals. Ensure your team is properly resourced and staffed. Work with the Director, Sustainability Services, to inform of potential staffing needs and resource allocation issues within your team as well as support needs during reporting periods. Participate in the Talent Acquisition process, as directed by the Director of Sustainability Services. Progress to a Hiring Manager role. Contribute to business development efforts, in conjunction with the Director of Sustainability Services, Account Managers,, VP of Growth, the VP of Sustainability Programs: Participate in internal annual client strategy meetings to discuss Reporting and Framework needs.Establish pricing for support and scopes of work for Reporting & Framework services.Responsible to establish a pricing workbook for reporting frameworks as resource for supporting teams.Support new business opportunities, as directed by the VP of Growth & Innovation.Advise on the need to expand services to cover additional reporting frameworks.Represent RE Tech at conferences, speaking engagements, and through thought leadership efforts. Effectively and appropriately utilize the RE Tech Rotational Program staff. Identify appropriate tasks for this team, oversee training of team members and completion of work. Follow appropriate processes for vendor vetting. Maintain relationships with third party vendors needed for Reporting and Framework services. Support the maintenance of the Repository, driving and routinely updating the content Serve as a role model for the company and begin to establish a role in the ESG industry. Drive collaboration and connection internally and externally. Continue to be a part of or join an industry community serving as a representative of RE Tech. Identify and oversee opportunities for team member participation In Industry groups. Know and follow company processes, ensuring your team does as well.  Perform all other duties as needed and assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge and familiarity with most common ESG Reporting Frameworks and expertise in at least GRESB, PRI, GRI, IFRS (TCFD), and SFDR. Knowledge of energy, sustainability, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and programs. Required Education and/or Experience

Experience driving research projects, managing content creation and project execution. Experience managing Reporting for multiple client engagements for various framework alignments. Experience serving as a Program Manager for multiple ESG or sustainability client programs with oversight and/or past experience operating in a similar capacity to this role. Experience administering and some experience developing successful sustainability, ESG, energy and/or decarbonization programs at scale across large portfolios of commercial real estate assets, with specific expertise focused on one or more of the follow commercial sectors: office, multifamily, retail, warehouse, senior care, medical office, and hospitality. Experience developing and managing multiple time-based budgets, both as time and materials, as well as fixed price, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes. Experience with resource and capacity planning. Experience managing people and teams, including some aspects of performance management, training, talent development, and hiring. Experience in a client facing consulting role, delivering professional services, and building relationships across clients and internal teams.

Travel Requirements
