overseeing and managing all aspects of HR operations and payroll functions within an organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of payroll processes while also providing leadership and direction to the HR operations team.In Your Future Role as a HR Operations Manager, North America You Will:
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, from data collection to payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Implement and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements. Resolve any payroll discrepancies and ensuring proper payroll tax compliance. Manage and enhance HR operational processes, systems, and procedures, related to the employee life cycle (hire to retire). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management processes. Oversee employee data management processes to ensure that Nouryon HR data is secure and maintained, consistent with our policies and privacy regulations. Lead and mentor a team of HR operations and payroll professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities. Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members. Stay updated on relevant federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as industry trends, and ensure compliance within the HR operations and payroll functions. Develop and implement HR and payroll policies that align with organizational goals and legal requirements. Ensure all required governmental reporting and filings are delivered accurately and on time. Liaison with various peer groups. Generate and analyze HR and payroll reports to provide insights for management decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning. Collaborate with external vendors and payroll service providers, to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.We Believe You Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field. Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll management, HR operations, or related functions, with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and HR systems. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Strong knowledge of HR and payroll compliance requirements, including proficiency in relevant software and systems. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization. Knowledge of Microsoft applications, SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll/ADP Global View, ADP Smart Compliance, Kronos & ServiceNow is required. Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are desirable. Good to know:
This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Director, Global HR Operations and HR Information Technology based in Houston, TX.
