Director, Global Internal Communications

Locations: New York, NY | Hybrid

Get To Know The Team:

In this role, the director of global internal communications will support corporate communications strategy, tactics and content creation for key business units. This will entail developing and implementing programs to communicate company and business unit objectives. With strong and demonstrated interpersonal skills and team leadership, this individual will contribute to shaping the culture of the business unit team and organization, as well as ensure the communication team is unified, motivated and effective.

This experienced communications professional will be responsible for developing relationships with executives and internal communication programs and messages. Working closely with stakeholders, this individual will generate ideas for internal comms, including providing a framework for communications and final content. Ultimately, as director of global internal communications, this individual will develop high-impact, multi-channel communications campaigns including developing KPIs to measure the success and impact of campaigns.

In addition to supporting key business units, this individual will support internal comms key initiatives such as technology enhancements, internal comms guidelines, business unit newsletter templates and process and corporate-level communications, as required. This individual will support the modernization of technology infrastructure, development of scalable processes, internal communications frameworks / programs and leading implementation across the team.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Content strategy and development including developing business unit messages that influence culture, support business goals, company-wide initiatives, and executive communications
  • Interfacing and managing executive leadership relationships across multiple functions; including communicating initiatives and project status
  • Developing and managing business unit editorial calendars ensuring consistent and timely cadence
  • Diversifying internal communications tactics to ensure we meet the communication styles of our global team; this may include video, email, newsletters; identify the right channel for the communication goals and audience.
  • Ability to take ideas to storyboard, vetting, approval and final content. Responsible for end-to-end development and execution.
  • Ensure consistency of messages across all platforms and global regions; builds standard and guidelines for style and content
  • Being creative to develop compelling content to meet goals of communication programs / objectives
  • Build global relationships to promote alignment and identify storytelling opportunities for global editorial calendar
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of communication tactics; monitor the effectiveness of communications and focus on continuous improvements
