We are looking for a Data Migration Developer to join the team This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing data migration projects, ensuring seamless data transitions from legacy systems to MCCi's suite of products. This can include data mapping, SQL scripting, database querying, file transfer, and other data migration activities with industry-standard and custom-created tools. The Data Migration Developer will work with our project teams to ensure that any data migration projects are on time and on budget.

What you'll do:

  • Work with our project management teams to successfully migrate a Client's data from their current system to the MCCi product suite
  • Utilize SQL skills to ensure accuracy and completeness of Client data migrations
  • Develop and implement data migration scripts and tools
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
  • Document data migration processes and procedures
  • Conduct post-migration audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Work with our CI team to scope out and price data migration projects
  • Assist as needed with client data issues or project related needs
  • May participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging of software applications
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
  • Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers
  • Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
  • Work individually and as a team to enhance department and company culture and efficiency
  • May design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, and JavaScript
  • Continuously improve data migration processes and methodologies

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Science or Computer Science, preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of at least two programming languages, at least one of which is C#, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL in a development environment
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL scripting, querying, data transfer and SQL databases
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of data migration processes and methodologies
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data mapping techniques
  • Familiarity with data validation and cleansing techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Programming Skills (We are a Microsoft show heavily focused in C#, .NET, .NET Core)
  • Software Development Fundamentals
  • Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
  • Software Debugging
