This position will support the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program in the US AFRICOM Area of Responsibility. Work Location is FOB Manda Bay, Kenya, Africa.
Responsibilities
  • Provides fire inspection services within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Inspects fire protection devices, systems and procedures to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts training programs for all functional areas of the Fire/Security Section. Maintains training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans, training aids, and training records.
  • Responds to emergencies, evaluates operational procedures, acts as safety officer, assists with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed.
  • May function as a firefighter to supplement existing personnel when required.
  • May require formal training on relevant Automated Information Systems (AIS).

Experience & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of four years related experience
  • Documented Basic or Intermediate Fire Inspector certification.
  • Job knowledge, skill level and physical ability to perform Fire Prevention Inspector responsibilities.
  • US Citizenship, must have valid US Passport.
  • NACI Background Check Security Clearance.
  • Must complete and pass a Fit-for-Duty Medical Examination
