Under the direction of the Practice Development Manager, the Clinic Operations Orthopedic Urgent Care (OUC) Supervisor provides general administrative oversight for Orthopedic Urgent Care ATC’s and OCA’s, communication with physicians as appropriate, scheduling of staff, and overall responsibilities for OUC region clinic locations, including outreach. This principal operational role involves the leadership and administration of Orthopedic Urgent Care ATC’s, OCA’s and OUC sites, including the responsibility for the implementation and measurement of operational metrics, process improvement, procedural compliance, partnering with Practice Development Manager (PDM) to develop service plans, and performance. This includes, but not limited to: recommendation of strategy for short and long term success, employee engagement and performance, patient satisfaction, compliance and quality and clinic site operations. Engage in employee staffing and supervisory duties for the OUC team members who support these areas, including interviewing and hiring employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; processing timecards; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and ensuring the completion of required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
This is a full-time role that will provide primary leadership to our Orthopedic Urgent Care (OUC) locations with flexibility to float to all OUC locations as needed. Primary base location is the Eagan clinic. Scheduled day hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with some evening requirements as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Support physician team members daily work and fill in as needed. Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, ensure OUC staff have adequate coverage, space and facilities for optimized patient care. Acts as main point of contact for OUC Team Members Partner with OUC Practice Development Manager on initiatives and workflow improvements to enhance physician practice, service line development, and Summit services as a whole. Direct the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the practice’s standards for quality, quantity, and safety. Be available for contact nights and weekends Oversee and coordinate the development, design and improvement of processes, methods, equipment and furniture within assigned areas. Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies, in addition to safety and work regulations and the maintenance of housekeeping standards. Process and resolve patient and/or client complaints Performs other duties as assignedSummit Health ASO, provides administrative and clinical support to our full spectrum of orthopedic care services in our sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics, imaging, bracing, therapy, surgery, and post-surgical stays at our Care Suites.
