Searching for a Project Manager in Mechanical Piping,

Looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, bid estimating, scheduling, and a proven track record of successfully delivering piping projects on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess project-specific requirements to compile comprehensive estimates through collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to determine pricing, material availability, and associated expenses.
  • Coordinate project setup with support personnel.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project execution.
  • Develop budgets for awarded projects, incorporating strategies for material procurement and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee personnel, accounts, materials, logistics, contracts, and project operations.
  • Provide senior management with estimated project costs for invoicing purposes.
  • Participate in meetings related to projects, administration, and operations.
  • Manage change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and project documentation.
  • Establish personnel scheduling timelines.
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation for project closure.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, contractors, and the community.
  • Uphold company policies and standards.
  • Offer feedback to senior management on personnel matters.
  • Conduct regular visits to project sites.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal competencies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiencies.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and other project-related documents.
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Consistent professional demeanor.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating, project cost development, or project management within the Mechanical Piping industry.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical piping systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of desk work and computer usage.
  • Capability to traverse uneven surfaces and exposure to various weather conditions during site visits.
