Job Id: 664 # of Openings: 10 Serve as a Volunteer Basketball Coach with the Virginia G. Piper Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Department:  Piper Branch (10515 E. Lakeview Dr. Scottsdale, AZ)
Location:  Scottsdale, AZ Total Time Commitment:

Hours:  Monday - Friday evenings and Saturday/Sunday mornings/afternoons Length of assignment:   2 Days per week, for 8 weeks Hours:  Practices are 1 hour Monday - Thursday, depending on the Branch
Games are 1 hour either on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings/afternoons
Under the direction of our Sports & Fitness Coordinators, volunteer coaches provide instruction and practice sports with our teen Club members.

Your Role: Provide great experiences to Club members (the kids and teens in our program). Provide all youth with basic instructions of the sport. Provide practice in a way that all youth are able to participate. Support our staffs' efforts to create fun and safe experiences for kids. Work as part of a great volunteer team. Possess the ability to interact and work well with others.  Seek out the help of the staff if there are any issues or concerns. Qualifications: A passion for the Boys & Girls Clubs vision and mission. A passion for creating safe and fun experiences for kids. Must engage in mandatory volunteer trainings and acknowledge our policies. Successful completion of a criminal background check and reference check process.  Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Must be able to move quickly to keep up with youth. Must be able to remain alert and energetic for long periods of time.
