Job Summary:
The Corporate Claims Specialist goes into action when a client files a claim and manages the overall process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with the responsibility of reporting and processing these claims by researching the policy accumulating evidence regarding the claim, and then verifying the coverage and helping to determine the compensation or settlement.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, where our culture is engaging and collaborative due to our onsite Monday through Friday operations. The position requires being onsite 9:00 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Input the First Report into the claims system and related duties at the time of receipt
  • Assist in obtaining police reports on accident claims
  • Handle claim calls and emails
  • Provide claims and litigation-related support to the various internal and external business partners
  • Conducts research and data input utilizing the appropriate claim systems
  • Acts as a liaison to other business support units to assist with Customer-related requests
  • Performs tasks, projects, and training as assigned
  • Update claimants and internal colleagues by phone and written correspondence about the status of claims 
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent for entry-level
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and accounting preferred
  • 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance-related policies and legislation
  • Proficient in analytical math
  • Excellent conflict resolution and listening skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze several pieces of information to determine the appropriate policy to file the claims
