Procedure Room Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of PCA. The PRA is responsible for transporting patients, cleaning procedure rooms, maintaining acleanenvironment, moving equipment, delivery ofspecimens, and other duties as assigned. The PRA functionsas a member of the PeriproceduralNursing Team who has specific knowledge, skills and training to work in a procedural setting.

PRINCIPLEDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITES:

Promotes a philosophy of patient/familyfocused care through cordial greeting andinteractions withpatient,families and hospital personnel Provideshospital/unitorientationinformationforguest,patientsandfamilies Demonstrates anawareness ofhospital systems and procedures, location ofalldepartments, procedure areas and other patient services.
