Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and project teams to ensure the smooth execution of flooring projects from start to finish. This role is crucial in coordinating schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring quality control, making it ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in project coordination or management in the construction or flooring industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and overseeing project timelines to ensure on-time completion.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members to maintain effective communication and resolve any issues that arise.
- Track project budgets, monitor expenditures, and report on financial performance.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, schedules, change orders, and progress reports.
- Participate in on-site visits to monitor progress and ensure that all work meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Support in reviewing project plans, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure alignment with scope and goals.
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, ideally in flooring or construction.
- Familiarity with flooring materials, processes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
