MORryde is currently seeking an entry level Purchasing Agent to join our Materials Team. In this vital role, you will manage processes throughout the material's life cycle. Along with managing supplier relations, you will also be involved with many other internal departments, including Production, Sales, Engineering, Accounting, and Administration.

Responsibilities

Supplier relations and management, including new supplier sourcing Negotiating supplier pricing, terms, delivery, etc. Managing inventory levels and placing supplier orders to meet production demands Research and resolve inventory discrepancies Manage and resolve material quality issues with suppliers Receive paperwork for incoming product Create and receive interbranch transfer paperwork Requirements Prior Purchasing or Supply Chain experience preferred, but willing to train Skill and high interest in cost and other numerical analysis Confidence to professionally negotiate  Customer service mindset a must, both with suppliers and internal teammates Self-motivated and self-managed Desire to learn in depth about the materials being managed High adaptability to respond to new and quickly changing material requirements Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Extremely detail oriented and good follow-through skills Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to analyze data and trends to resolve issues and make decisions Proficiency with manufacturing software systems and Excel

This is an excellent opportunity to continue or expand your Purchasing and Materials experience and skills in a high growth manufacturing environment. In this role you will be exposed to a wide range of materials that span across many different end products. You will have responsibility for the entire life cycle of materials. But it doesn’t stop when the materials have been received. Our Materials Team maintains responsibility of materials throughout the production process, including monitoring inventory levels, physical consumption, quality issues, supplier returns, bill of material issues, slow-moving inventory, phase in/out of materials, cycle counts, etc.
