The Lease Accounting clerk holds a crucial position in overseeing lease agreements and ensuring precise financial reporting. Their commitment to accuracy and compliance greatly impacts Build-A-Bear's financial stability.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and respond to the Lease Accounting Email account Process changes within the Lucernex (lease accounting) system Rent payment preparation Rent expense preparation Prepare journal entries Respond to lease inquires Work with the Real Estate and Accounting teams as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance  A minimum of 0-1 years of experience with lease accounting and accounts payable experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using a lease accounting system to process and produce reports to pay base rent, other rent, and percent rent payments Experience using a lease accounting system to run reports to prepare journal entries to record base rent, other rent, and percent rent expense in the general ledger. Experience reading and analyzing lease agreements. 2-3 years of experience
