Football Nutrition Intern

while collaborating with strength coaches, athletic trainers, nutrition students, and sports science. They will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for football athlete to optimize performance and recovery. They will help with managing nutrition storage sites to help with inventory management and ordering. They will assist with food service operations such as catering, budgeting, and delivery. They will work closely with culinary professionals to develop athlete-friendly meals. Will utilize notemeal, red card, MX3, and Inflow while working with athletes and developing educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and team talks. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Registered Dietitian certification (or eligible within the next 3 months). Previous experience in collegiate sports nutrition is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following skills:Knowledge of exercise, physiology, biochemistry, and sports science
Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Eager to stay up to date with industry trends and research in sports nutrition Physical Demands Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of lbs.
• Will handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
Driving as needed to perform job duties.
