Job Description:

As an experienced Welder, you will have the opportunity to transition into programming, operating, and maintaining laser welding machines to weld a variety of metal components with precision and accuracy. You will follow engineering specifications and ensure that all products meet high quality standards. You will have the opportunity to train other welders to operate the laser welder. If you're already experienced in Laser Welding, Cobots, or Robotic Welding...even better

Key Responsibilities:

> Set up and operate laser welding machines and cobots to join metal parts according to engineering drawings

> Train other welders to operate all equipment in the welding department

> Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal welding quality and efficiency.

> Design and build weld fixtures a plus

> Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality and technical specifications, making repairs or adjustments as required

> Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition

> Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects

> Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while operating welding equipment

> Document and maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings and inspection results

Qualifications:

> High school diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training in welding is a plus

> Able to be operate all welding equipment from day one with minimal supervision

> Strong understanding of laser welding techniques and familiarity with different types of metals and their properties.

> Ability to train others to become laser welders

> Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and welding symbols.

> Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address machine issues and perform routine maintenance.

> Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.

> Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

> Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

> Welding certification or relevant experience

> Familiarity with metal fabrication, inspection tools, and equipment.
