Fire Alarm System Designer

We are partnered with an established fire protection and life safety system company who are actively looking to add a proven Fire Alarm Designer to their growing team

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, and a technical school degree with emphasis on drafting and math
  • Minimum of 5 years alarm drafting experience
  • Preferred 10 years fire alarm and fire suppression design
  • AutoCAD training with solid understanding of drafting techniques engineering terminology
  • 3+ years related design drafting experience.
  • Understanding and knowledge of NFPA codes & standards
  • Understanding and knowledge of Fire Alarm or fire suppression systems

                                                 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently reviews and validates information required to create drawings  according to specifications and standard procedures
  • Independently prepares application drawings for Fike's systems
  • Reviews and checks drawings prepared by others
  • Maintains drawing database, service request report, and drawing files
  • Provides document support for Test Procedure Information (TPI)
