Job Information

As a Production Planner you will create a production schedule to meet customer requirements, inventory objectives and manufacturing goals per the Division's Requirements. This position adds value through sequencing orders into a preferred flow to maximize productivity and shipments. The incumbent will input and maintain the shipment forecasts by part grouping, into the Statesville business system, Oracle, detailing into weekly and or daily build objectives for actual sales orders or planned stock.

Role & Responsibility

Main responsibilities and details are as follows:

Production Planner-Provide overall coordination of customer requirements through the entire team operation interfacing with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Purchasing, Receiving, Shop Assembly, Test, and Shipping. Reconcile all work order discrepancies and changes. Communicate with assembly; purchasing, sales and marketing to ensure customer priorities are met. Schedule customer orders based on next available production plan or the lead-time of components. Check availability of all components and coordinate with buyers to expedite when necessary to meet customer requirements. Create shortage lists for meetings with Tactical buyers. Work closely with the Master Scheduler, supervisors and tactical buyers to ensure production schedules can be met with accuracy and efficiency. Help to Maintain the Master Schedule / Forecast in ORACLE in accordance with guidelines set forth by the S.O.P. and ISO 9001 procedures. This requires balancing customer lead-time demands with the Division's strategic inventory goals. Assist in the development of weekly and monthly metrics, which include assembly production, on time to stock, past due sales orders, and past due work orders. Create production schedule based on sales orders, to meet customer requirements in ORACLE based on material availability being driven from the SIOP into the forecasting module in ORACLE. Requires a good understanding of the price books, a thorough understanding of the engineering planning charts and a thorough understanding of the configured products and sales order planning modules in ORACLE.

Job Requirement
